In our Wild Wishes program where we grant wildlife encounters for children with a critical illness, parental loss, and other issues we give out gifts. I always give them one of these wild wild world of animal books- my favorite books as a kid. I posted about this a couple months ago so @idrinkcoffeeanyhour blessed our kids incredibly by buying them all of these books from old bookstores and antique shops. I'm all about the here and now and looking into the future but I do like to reflect on inspirational memories. One of my favorites was getting to go with TV host Keith Warren and Texas Parks & Wildlife on a cougar (mountain lion) capturing and collaring in South Texas when I was in the early stages of my career. It was great getting a photo with these beautiful (and angry) babies.
